San
Diego Firestorm Community Recovery Team

The
San Diego Firestorm Community Recovery Team (San Diego-CRT) was
established with the mission of rebuilding homes and restoring
lives. They help provide and coordinate personal, spiritual and
physical resources to help rebuild the homes and the lives of
families without insurance and resources that have been affected by
fire damage.

There are many reasons why fire survivors are delayed or unable to
rebuild on their own including insurance delays, increase costs in
building materials or lack of adequate finances. San Diego
Firestorm-CRT is trying to eliminate that by providing the survivors
with all that they need to get back on their feet again.

"The CRT deeply appreciates the contribution from LCHF. During the
time period that funds were used, along with voluntary labor and
other funding agencies, we were able to complete and get final
inspection on one of the homes that were built. We have made
substantial progress on other homes and anticipate final inspection
on at least five other homes before the end of the year. These are
homes that otherwise would probably not have been built and LCHF
funding is an integral part of the process."
On
July 20, 2005, an event was held to present the San Diego Firestorm-CRT
with a check that many people will benefit from. Every penny that
was received on behalf of Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation will
go towards helping build homes for the families that were affected.
San Diego Firestorm Community Recovery Team was established to help
those in need. They have helped over seven communities and continue
to provide everything they can to get everyone back to where they
belong, the place they once were; Home.
