South Bay Community Services
South Bay Community Services (SBCS), founded in 1971, was created by
dedicated, caring community members and continues to receive
guidance and direction from them. SBCS began as a treatment center
for drug abusing teens and has evolved and expanded in response to
the growing needs of the community, and currently provides services,
support and opportunities for over 20,000 individuals and families
each year.

SBCS is a multi-service and community development agency. It is a
private 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization, funded by government
grants, special events, and corporate and private donations. It
provides assistance to families in the South Bay Area of San Diego
County; including: Chula Vista, National City, Imperial Beach, Otay
Mesa, Bonita, and San Ysidro.
With the ability to provide children, youth and families in the
South Bay area with services which reinforce the family’s role in
our community and assist individuals to aspire realistically to
lives of self-fulfillment, SBCS will continue to be a charity that
will change many lives.
"With the assistance of the monies from Lennar Charitable Housing
Foundation, we have been able to increase our efforts in assisting
our clients with affordable housing and vocational training,
preparation and self-preservation," reported a representative from
South Bay Community Services.
