The Mission of Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation (LCHF) is…   to end homelessness by investing in shelter and supportive services benefiting vulnerable families and individuals.

Interfaith Community Services

Interfaith Community Services has been responding to human service needs in northern San Diego County for over twenty-five years.  It began in 1979 as a food pantry using volunteers to distribute donated food.  Since then, Interfaith has grown into Northern San Diego County’s largest and most effective social service agency.

As one of Interfaith’s “most loyal donors,” Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation has helped them house homeless families, including four families evacuated from New Orleans.  With the help of Lennar (Charitable Housing Foundation) they have renovated units as they become available.  Today, thirty-five families are housed while they participate in a highly structured program that includes individualized case management, employment assistance, and a full range of supportive services.

Interfaith’s Family Housing Program has turned many people’s lives around.  These families can now prepare for the future and are able to experience, through a unique and richly developed program, the success of independence.

During the past year, Interfaith served more than 22,000 clients.  Over the years, consistently more than half of their clients have been children and approximately a quarter of them are homeless.  With the ability to provide help and hope, Interfaith has successfully fulfilled many dreams.
