HomeAid
America
Founded in
1989, HomeAid America is a non-profit organization dedicated to
building and renovating shelters for America’s transitionally
homeless. With twenty-two chapters in eleven states, HomeAid America
has been able to provided shelter for more than 60,000 individuals;
many of which were abused children, victims of domestic violence,
teens, HIV/AIDS victims, and the temporally unemployed.
According
to the most current information, HomeAid America has completed 125
multi-unit homes with another 58 in development. When consolidated,
the number of beds available to the transitionally homeless exceeds
3,000 nationwide. With Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation's
support, HomeAid America continues to rebuild the shattered hopes
and lives of thousands at a time.
On a continual basis, LCHF
donates a significant sum of funds which are allocated to helping
the facilitation of Chapter support and expansion for HomeAid
America. LCHF looks forward to future collaborations with HomeAid
America with the shared goal of assisting the transitionally
homeless and their pursuit of happiness.
