Family Supportive Housing, Inc.
Family Supportive Housing, Inc. is committed to the entire family. This long-held commitment is the guiding force of the entire organization that resonates in the heart of everything we do. Family Supportive Housing provides a full spectrum of services to hundreds of people for whom overcoming poverty, hunger, and homelessness is a daily struggle. Our programs address the needs of the whole family, including emergency shelter, child development, employment and permanent housing. Three distinct service areas - San Jose Family Shelter, Bridges AfterCare and GlennArt Arms - encourage families to stay intact while addressing their needs for food, shelter, education and employment.
Bridges AfterCare assists former Shelter residents by providing ongoing case management as the families move into permanent housing. This program is also very successful in assisting families in maintaining their housing. The added support model has been crucial to families now living independently.
GlennArt Arms is a transitional housing program that provides housing in neighborhoods throughout Santa Clara County. Families pay rent equal to 30% of their income and receive case management and supportive services for up to two years.
Family Supportive Housing is committed to keeping families together during times of crisis. With the support of organizations like the Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation, it is possible to continue our mission to empower homeless families to move out of homelessness into self-sufficient living.
