Catholic Charities
Catholic
Charities Diocese of San Diego is by far the largest social service
provider in both San Diego and Imperial County with 10 departments
operating at 60 sites across both counties.

Catholic
Charities provides vital social services to people in need,
regardless of their religious, social, or economic backgrounds.
Catholic Charities is committed to advocate for a just society, to
call men and women to action on behalf of the poor, and to promote
self-determination for all.

In 2004, Catholic Charities touched the lives of more than
forty-five thousand people through services such as adoptions,
emergency food and shelter, and refugee resettlement. Catholic
Charities has about 240 paid staff and more than 600
volunteers-nearly three times as many as paid staff.
La Posada de Guadalupe Shelter in Carlsbad is a program of Catholic
Charities’ Homeless Men’s Services. Providing service to over 1500
homeless men in an average year translates to about 28,000 nights of
shelter and 40,000 meals. With the love and support of Lennar
Charitable Housing Foundation, Catholic Charities will be able to
keep the success of helping alive.
