Casa
de Amparo

Casa de Amparo is the first step towards recovery for many children
who have been removed from families because of abuse or neglect.
Established in 1978, Casa de Amparo serves the entire county of San
Diego, although their clients come primarily from the North County
cities of Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, San Marcos, and Camp
Pendleton.

Since their establishment, Casa de Amparo has provided multiple
services for over six thousand abused children and their families.
Last year they were able to provide their support for over three
hundred children and over 250 families that were at risk of abuse.

With a large amount of support from the community as well as
volunteer work, many opportunities have been made available for
hundreds of children and families in need. Lennar Charitable Housing
Foundation (LCHF) has been a great support of Casa de Amparo. With
the donations that come from LCHF, Casa de Amparo is building a new
shelter in San Diego just outside of San Marcos. Also, the funds
will help the child development center that is already standing.
Casa de Amparo has been a bright light in the lives of thousands of
children in the twenty-nine years it has been in existence. It
continues to provide help and hope for many.
