The Mission of Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation (LCHF) is…   to end homelessness by investing in shelter and supportive services benefiting vulnerable families and individuals.

Boys Town of California

Father Flanagan’s Boys Home began in 1917 by Father Edward J. Flanagan.  With ninety dollars and a vision – to change the lives of the young boys in his time, Flanagan set out to erect a program befitting these youths. Today, Boys town of California continues the vision of Father Flanagan by bringing help, healing, and hope to children and families in California. Affiliate of Father Flanagan’s Boys’ Home, Boys Town of California provides the highest quality services to over 1,100 children a year.

Since 1991, Boys Town of California has been a leader in the care of abused, abandoned, and neglected boys and girls throughout California. This non-sectarian, non-profit organization provides children with a safe, caring, and loving environment where they can gain the confidence to become better educated as well as learn practical skills imperative to succeeding in life. Providing care to 1,286 children and 261 families in 2005, Boys Town of California has become a nurturing and loving place to help decrease poverty and increase opportunities.

In April of 2006, Lennar Charitable Housing Foundation (LCHF) was commemorated by Boys Town of California for their sizable contributions. An emergency shelter named after LCHF, is being erected in Compton, making it the first of its kind in this city. Many estimate that this shelter has the potential to help more than 800 youths a year.
