Alternatives to Domestic Violence

Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) provides services to victims of domestic violence and their families by emphasizing an alternative course of action than to use violence as a form of control. Since 1978 ADV’s mission has been to improve the quality of life and generate hope for residents of Riverside County by: assisting victims of abuse; increasing community awareness; serving as an advocate for victims; seeking ways to decrease the frequency and magnitude of domestic violence; and breaking the generation cycle of domestic violence and victimization. ADV continues to be recognized statewide, as a leader in empowerment and advocacy.

ADV operates the only shelter that provides aid to victims of domestic violence, as well as their families, within western Riverside County. This facility, Casa de Paz, is a 17,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility. In addition to residential services, ADV offers a comprehensive scope of services.
